A new item, made for the dead, is geared towards those who can’t bear to be away from music.

Who says you can't live the fine life even after death? A new item, made for the dead, is geared towards those who can’t bear to be away from music.

A Swedish company has created a coffin equipped with speakers, allowing music to fill the deceased loved one’s space. A playlist can be managed via an app that connects to the music service known as Spotify.

Friends and family of the dearly departed will be able to add tracks and make modifications to the playlist remotely. An upgradable music server called the CataTomb has a constant 4G connection along with an Intel core processor.

The CataTomb system is also equipped with a seven inch LCD display which shows which song is playing. The digital display will be attached to the headstone.

The specialized casket which is called the CataCoffin appears to be a normal wooden burial box from the outside, but the interior is outfitted with a pair of 2-way speakers and an 8-inch subwoofer.

The coffin retails for a little over $30,000, however for that hefty price, it does come with a free Spotify music streaming account.
