The consoles we will discuss today are...<br /><br />▪️ Magnavox Odyssey:<br />Considered to be the very first home video game console ever made, the Magnavox Odyssey is the first released in the U.S. in September of 1972. It is the first video game console to use circuit cards to switch between different games.<br /><br />▪️ Magnavox Odyssey II:<br />The Odyssey II was released in 1978 and was an updated version of the original Odyssey console. It switched from internal Circuit Cards to more traditional video game cartridges we are all familiar with today.<br /><br />▪️ SEGA SG-1000:<br />Released in 1983, the SEGA SG-1000 was SEGA's first ever home video game console, consisting primarily of ports of popular arcade games of the time. It was the basis for the SEGA Master System which was released 2 years later.<br /><br />▪️ Nintendo Twin Famicom:<br />Released in 1986, The Twin Famicom is Nintendo's Japanese version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Twin Famicom is one of the most popular and best selling home video game consoles of all time.<br /><br />▪️ Nintendo Famicom Titler:<br />Also known as the Famicom Editor, The Famicom Titler was released in 1989 in Japan only. It allowed the user to capture and edit gameplay right on the system. The first ever console of it's kind.<br /><br />▪️ NEC TurboGrafx 16:<br />Called the PC Engine in Japan, The TurboGrafx 16 was released in 1987. It was the first ever video game console sold in the 16 bit era of gaming. Although very popular in Japan, the system struggled to maintain sales in the U.S.<br /><br />▪️ NeoGeo AES:<br />Released in 1990, the NeoGeo AES, or Advanced Entertainment System, was the first ever 24 bit home gaming system. It is the home version of the popular MVS stand up arcade cabinet.<br /><br />▪️ Commodore Amiga CD32:<br />The Commodore CD32 is the home game console version of Amiga's 32 bit home computer. Using third party devices, it is possible to upgrade the CD32 with a keyboard, floppy drive, hard drive, RAM and mouse, turning it into the equivalent of an Amiga 1200 computer.<br /><br />▪️ FM Towns Marty:<br />Released in 1993, the FM Towns Marty claimed to be the first ever 32 bit home game console.
